I'v leery about trying this plugin conversion process, but perhaps I shouldn't be. There are some very nice VST plugins that I'd like to try in our PT10 HD6 system. Can anyone share expense good or bad with the FXpansion VST to RTAS converter? They are now at version 2.Many thanks,John CaldwellBe aware that fxpansion no longer supports this plugin and hasn't for years. Quite frankly I'm surprised they're even selling it anymore. It does not support vst3 plugins and OSX 10.8 is the last OSX version supported. If you want a supported product that's really good look into Blue Cat Audio Patchwork to host your vst2/vst3 and au plugins inside PT. Same price as the fxpansion wrapper.
Fxpansion
Thanks to all who have responded. Having shown my ignorance, I'll look into Blue Cat. But I gather from the reposes that some of us are using a wrapper in PT 10 with some success. Since I work in HD on OSX 10.8.5, I'll need to observe legacy comparability.Thank you,John CaldwellThe reason I mentioned Patchwork is still supported as I stated and if you have issues you can get help from the developer; not so from fxpansion. And Patchwork is NOT a wrapper but a host - there's a difference. It doesn't modify the plugin like the fxpansion wrapper does. And that's why Avid banned wrappers from working in PT11 and upwards; PT10 is the last version to allow them.
